Abstract

Background: The digitalization of health systems is an important driver for improving the collection, management, and use of health data. Digital tools can facilitate activity monitoring, strengthen information availability, and support decision-making. Objective: This study aims to analyze the use of digital tools for monitoring health activities in healthcare facilities, focusing on their benefits, implementation challenges, and contribution to data management. Methods: A descriptive exploratory approach is proposed. The study examines the use of digital tools for health data collection and management, users' practices, and the challenges encountered in their daily activities. Results: For demonstration purposes, the results are simulated. They illustrate the potential benefits of digital tools in improving data collection speed, information centralization, and data availability. The main challenges considered include user training, technical infrastructure, and data quality. Conclusion: Digital tools represent an opportunity to strengthen health activity monitoring. However, their effectiveness depends on infrastructure availability, user training, and appropriate data quality assurance mechanisms.
